Apollo.io Setup

Connect Apollo.io for B2B prospect search, company research, and contact enrichment through Fp Switchboard.

Prerequisites

• Apollo.io account (free tier works for basic search)
• API key access from Apollo.io settings

Setup Steps

1. Sign in to Apollo.io

   Go to Apollo.io and sign in.

2. Navigate to API Settings

   Go to Settings > Integrations > API Keys.

3. Create API Key

   Create a new API key named “Fp Switchboard”.

4. Connect in Switchboard

   Enter your API key when connecting Apollo.io in the Switchboard dashboard. No platform-level setup required — users enter their own keys.

Important Notes

Tip

People and company search is FREE and unlimited on Apollo.io. Enrichment (emails, phone numbers) costs credits based on your plan.

Note

Apollo.io uses per-user API keys. Each user enters their own key when connecting — no platform-level environment variables needed.

Common Issues

• Credit usage: Email and phone enrichment consumes Apollo.io credits. Search operations are free.
• Rate limits: Apollo.io has API rate limits that vary by plan. Free plans have stricter limits.
• Data accuracy: Contact data is crowdsourced and may not always be current. Verify critical contact information.

Testing

1. Connect from the Switchboard Dashboard
2. Enter your Apollo.io API key
3. Click Test Connection to verify
4. Try: “Search Apollo for marketing directors at tech companies in Toronto”
